Chapter 01
The detailed storm damage assessment
CBS runs a detailed roof storm damage assessment rather than a look from the driveway. Extreme weather causes damage that is not always visible from below, and the difference between a repair and a replacement is usually decided by what the assessment finds.
On this coast that assessment is not hypothetical. One customer's metal roof, installed by CBS three years ago, has since been through three hurricanes without issue, and another had a repair hold through the 2024 hurricanes.

Building the claim file out of photographs
Damage is documented photographically for the insurance claim. Photographs taken before any repair work are the part of a claim that cannot be recreated afterwards.
CBS then works directly with the insurance company on the claim, and can put a temporary fix on in the meantime so the building is not open while the paperwork moves.
Chapter 03
Making the permanent repair once the claim clears
The permanent repair follows the same route as any other CBS job: itemised proposal, permits pulled, inspections coordinated, work photographed, and payment not due until it begins.
Most projects carry the five year workmanship warranty, and tile installations the extended eight year warranty, so a storm repair does not end up as the weakest part of the roof.
